Instructions
CSF: Aliquot minimum of 0.6mL of CSF sample into an aliquot tube.
Refrigerate 2-8°C for 7 days.

*2-8°: for up to 7 days post collection *(preferred)
>7 days, sample should be stored at Frozen (-70°C):


Reject Criteria (Eg, hemolysis? Lipemia? Thaw/Other?)
Non-validated sample types will be sent to a reference laboratory.


Methodology
Performed by PCR using the Simplexa VZV Direct assay and 3m Integrated Cycler using a FDA cleared assay.
