Specimen Stability
  • Unstable. Must be submitted to Gross Room as sonn as possible after surgical removal.
  • Monday-Friday:  Before 07:00 and after 17:00 notify Pathology resident on call
  • Weekends and Holidays: Notify Patholgoy resident on call.


Reject Criteria (Eg, hemolysis? Lipemia? Thaw/Other?)
Specimen received in formlain, unlabeled or improperly labeled specimen.
