Instructions

Place aliquoted CSF, or urine samples in the -20 freezer in the rack marked Molecular Diagnsotics, frozen samples

Specimen Stability

Frozen (-20): 4 days

Reject Criteria (Eg, hemolysis? Lipemia? Thaw/Other?)

Non-validated Specimen Types will be forward to Reference Laboratories Testing on samples stored incorrectly or with insufficient volume will be cancelled. Heparin MUST NOT be added to sterile containers because heparin inhibits PCR reactions.
