Clinical Significance
Testing Algorithm:

"Reactive" HIV SCREEN results are automatically confirmed using an algorithm that includes repeating the COMBINED ANTIGEN AND
ANTIBODY test and/or performing a Geenius HIV-1/2 Antibody Confirmation test at an additional charge. This algorithm is in
accordance with the updated 2014 CDC recommendations for diagnosing HIV infection. Reactive results from patients less than 2
years old will be confirmed by PCR at an additional charge.
