Testing includes Lyme IgM and IgG Antibodies, if either the IgM or IgG result is Positive or Equivocal. Positive specimens reflex to the Total Lyme test- in house by the Diasorin Liasion.

Instructions
Centrifuge within 2 hours of collection. If Red top is received, following centrifugation; aliquot at least 1 mL of serum and refrigerate.

Lyme disease should not be diagnosed through testing alone. Timing of serology testing with likely exposure has significant influence over
clinical test performance (i.e., accuracy). This is a screening test that includes separate detections of IgG and
IgM against B. burgdorferi. Positive results automatically reflex to Western Blot.
