Clinical Significance
Useful for evaluating patients suspected of having Wegener granulomatosis (WG). Distinguishing between WG and other forms of vasculitis, in conjunction with Myeloperoxidase IgG Antibodies and ANCA/ Cytoplasmic Neutrophil Antibodies May be useful to follow treatment response or to monitor disease activity in patients with myeloperoxidase antibodies. Evaluating patients suspected of having immune-mediated vasculitis, especially microscopic polyangitis (MPA), when used in conjunction with other autoantibody tests. May be useful to follow treatment response or to monitor disease activity in patients with MPA.
