Patient should be fasting for twelve hours prior to sample collection.

Instructions
Sample must be centrifuged within 2 hours of collection or within 4 hours if drawn in a Gray Top tube. Samples collected in a red (serum) or dark green (heparin) or gray (sodium fluoride) top tube must be removed from the red cells and put into aliquot tubes following centrifugation.
