Instructions
ample must be centrifuged within two hours of collection. Serum/plasma must be removed from the red cells and put into aliquot tubes following centrifugation.

Reference Range
HDL reference range: ≥50 mg/dL
HDL Cholesterol <40 mg/dL in males, and <50 mg/dL in females, suggests major risk for heart disease per the National Cholesterol Education Program (NCEP).
Conversely, HDL ≥60 mg/dL suggests negative risk.
