Pediatric: One light green top microtainer


Other Acceptable Specimens
Dark green top, red top, or gold top tube 


Instructions
Sample must be centrifuged within two hours of collection. Samples collected in a red (serum) or dark green (heparin)
top tube must be removed from the red cells and put into aliquot tubes following centrifugation


Specimen Stability
Centrifuge within 2 hours of collection   Ambient: 7 days   Refrigerated: 7 days   Frozen: 1 year


Reject Criteria (Eg, hemolysis? Lipemia? Thaw/Other?)
Lipemia or gross hemolysis
