Reject Criteria (Eg, hemolysis? Lipemia? Thaw/Other?)
Overfilled or underfilled tubes; Clotted or hemolyzed specimens, patients with a HCT >55%

Clinical Significance
An increase of the fibrinogen level is observed in cases of diabetes, inflammatory syndromes and obesity. A
decrease of the fibrinogen level is observed in DIC, fibrinolysis, thrombolytic therapy and hereditary diseases
