Clinical Significance
The results are reported in ng/mL Fibrinogen Equivalent Units. A negative D-Dimer result of 500 ng/mL Fibrinogen Equivalent Units or lower has a 100% probability (Negative Predictive Value) that the patient does not have venous thromboembolic disease.
