1mL plasma collected in EDTA (lavender-top) tube; freeze ASAP

Instructions

After collection sample can be stored at room temperature up to 24 hours. Separate plasma and freeze. Do not refrigerate the sample. Refrigeration will cause cryoactivation to occur and prorenin will convert to renin causing falsely high renin activity result.
