Message
All suspected transfusion reactions must be immediately reported to the Blood Bank and promptly evaluated by the Laboratory Medical Director or designated pathologist. A transfusion reaction workup and investigation must be initiated as soon as possible. Adequate and relevant clinical information should be obtained to ensure appropriate evaluation and to support continuing care of the patient.
