Clinical Significance
A cytoplasmic marker of prostate epithelium; prostein (p501s) is positive in 85-90% of metastatic carcinomas of prostatic origin. This antibody, in combination with PSA, can be used to sensitively and specifically detect metastatic prostate cancer.
