Light blue top tube (Citrated blood 9:1 (blood to anticoagulant) 3.2% sodium citrate) and Gold (SST)


Minimum Volume
Full tube, no partial fills.


Instructions
Invert tube twenty times to adequately mix anticoagulant.

Specimen Stability
Separated from cells: 2 hours room temperature or 1 month frozen (-20 C)


Methodology
Overfilled or underfilled tubes; Clotted or hemolyzed specimens, patients with a HCT >55%
