Serum (Gel Barrier) 2 mL serum from a serum separator tube (SST) (0.5 mL min). Centrifuge as soon as possible after clot formation. preferably within 45 minutes after collection. Be sure Fasting morning specimen is preferred. barrier forms complete separation between serum and cells.
