Instructions
Bring to lab on ICE. Centrifuge without delay. Analyze sample within 30 minutes of centrifugation.


Transport Temperature
Refrigerated (on ice) and sent to Mercy Hospital within 30 minutes.


Specimen Stability
Room Temperature: Unacceptable
Refrigerated: 2 hours after separating plasma from cells
Frozen: Unacceptable


Reject Criteria (Eg, hemolysis? Lipemia? Thaw/Other?)
Hemolysis, Icterus, Lipemia


Reference Range
<= 32 umol/L
