Positive results for Blood, Protein, Leukocyte Esterase, or Nitrite will have a reflex Urine Microscopic. 81003 will be credited and 81001 will be added if specimen reflexes.

Instructions
Directions for Collection of a Sterile Midstream Urine Sample
  1. Label the specimen container with Legal First and Last Name, Date of Birth, Date of Collection, Time of Collection, and Initials of the collector. 
  2. Using the Castile Soap Towelette, wash off your pubic area from front to back.
  3. Being careful not to touch the inner surface of the lid, remove it from the specimen container. 
  4. Void a small amount into the toilet.
  5. Then, continuing to void, collect a sample in the container.
  6. Finish voiding into the toilet. 
  7. Replace the lid on the specimen container and place in the pass through.
