Clinical Significance
Anti-CV2 antibody can be detected in patients with paraneoplastic neurological syndromes that include the acute or subacute onset of a sensory neuropathy, limbic encephalitis, encephalomyelitis, chorea, or cerebellar degeneration. This semi-quantitative assay may be useful in monitoring therapeutic responses in select cases.
