Clinical Significance
The PRU Test reports patient rsults in P2Y12 Reaction Units. P2Y12 Reaction Units (PRU) report the amouont of P2Y12 receptor mediated aggregation specific to the platelet and are calculated as a function of the rate and extent of platelet aggregation in the ADP channel. Values <180 PRU suggest a drug effect from a P2Y12 inhibitor, in patients with Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS).
