SURGICAL SPECIMEN - TAKE SPECIMEN TO HISTOLOGY



Transport Container

Tissue for routine Pathology examination should be submitted in 10% formalin. The Pathologist should be called at 731-541-6026 if any special studies are needed due to special fixation being required for some testing.



Reject Criteria (Eg, hemolysis? Lipemia? Thaw/Other?)
Unlabeled specimens will be rejected


Methodology
Tissue processed on the VIP or Pathos tissue processor

Setup Schedule

Processing is Monday - Friday 6am - 6pm and Saturday 6am to 12pm
