Oral, eye, cervix, CSF, Bronchial or tissue.


Instructions

All specimen collected for HSV culture should be transported to the laboratory in viral transport media except for CSF. Transport CSF in sterile container.

Specimen Stability
If delay in transport is unavoidable, refrigerate at 2-8 C for up to 72 hrs.
