Clinical Significance
This test is intended for the qualitative detection of IgG antibodies to HSV types 1 and 2 and may be used for testing in sexually active individuals or pregnant women for aiding in the diagnosis of HSV-1 and HSV-2 IgG infection.The predictive value of positive or negative depends on the population's prevalence.
