Clinical Significance

Testing a glucose level 2 hours after a meal can give valuable information about how food or medication is affecting a patient's glucose levels. Glucose measurements are used to monitor therapy in diabetics and in patients with dehydration, coma, hypoglycemia, insulinoma, acidosis, and ketoacidosis.

This test is for Post-Prandial measurement of Glucose on Plasma or Serum.
