Clinical Significance
Uroplakin III is a suface marker of urothelium, that is
commonly used to identify urothelial carcinoma in
metastatic lesions (approx 60% sensitive). However, it is
important to recognize that high-grade urothelial
carcinomas may lose expression of this marker.
