Patient Preparation
Patient should abstain from alcohol for 24 hours prior to specimen collection.
Include a list of medications the patient is currently taking.

Whole blood collected in a metal-free heparin (dark blue-top) tube, or EDTA (lavender-top) tube
Instructions
Immediately place specimen on wet ice
