Clinical Significance
Antibody to proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA Ab) may be detected in a small subpopulation (3-5%) of SLE patients. They are highly SLE-specific and are associated with higher incidence of diffuse glomerulonephritis among SLE patients.
