Instructions
Refrigerate urine immediately after collection. Store refrigerated 2-8°C for up to 14 days. For longer periods, store frozen -20°C. Transport refrigerated urine samples refrigerated (cold packs) to the laboratory. Ship frozen samples on dry ice.

Clinical Significance
Legionella urinary antigen is useful in conjunction with other laboratory tests in the diagnosis of Legionnaire's Disease. Legionella urinary antigen may be identified for months after recovery.
