Instructions
Serum must be separated from whole blood within 48 hours of collection.

Notes: Please label each specimen tube with two forms of patient identification. These forms of identification must also appear on the requisition form.

Clinical Significance
Anti-LGI1 antibody is found in patients with associated with epilepsy of acute/subacute presentation without evidence of CNS infection, toxic, metabolic, or other known cause of epilepsy, and possibly with evidence of CNS inflammation.
