Pure isolate collected on an agar slant in a double-walled container and Rectal swab in Amies gel, liquid Stuart or ESwab™ transport media
Instructions
Stability of isolates will be determined by the laboratory. Organism must be viable.
Use of transport device approved for the collection of rectal swabs. Follow the transport device manufacturer's procedures. Specimens should be collected prior to the initiation of antimicrobial therapy.
