Clinical Significance
The Extended Myositis Specific Antibody (MSA) panel is designed as an aid for the diagnosis of myopathies associated with autoantibody production. These include inflammatory myopathies (polymyositis, anti-synthetase syndrome, dermatomyositis), necrotizing myopathies, including statin associated myopathy, and inclusion body myositis.
