Clinical Significance
Buprenorphine is a pain medication, most often used in the treatment of narcotic addiction. This medication has the potential for misuse and/or diversion. Physicians who prescribe medications containing Buprenorphine (Subutex®, Suboxone®) utilize this test to determine patients’ compliance with their prescriptions.
