Reference Range
No established therapeutic range; individual patient concentrations should be evaluated in context of patient's clinical condition or prior concentration.
Trough plasma levels following doses of 400-2400 mg/day, averaged 2-28 mcg/mL. Maximum plasma concentrations following 2400 mg/day dosages averaged 55 mcg/mL.


Clinical Significance
Monitoring eslicarbazepine is helpful to avoid toxicity and to use as a baseline for future therapy. There is no established reference range. Individual patient concentrations should be evaluated in context of patient's clinical condition and prior concentrations.
