4 mL whole blood collected in an ACD (yellow-top) tube, or sodium heparin (green-top) tube, or EDTA (lavender-top) tube

Minimum Volume

2 mL

Other Acceptable Specimens

Bone marrow collected in: ACD (yellow-top) tube, or sodium heparin (green-top) tube, or EDTA (lavender-top) tube

Instructions

Indicate on specimen tube and requisition whether sample is whole blood or bone marrow. Sample must be received within 24 hours of collection and may be drawn Monday through Thursday for delivery Tuesday through Friday. STAT not available for Friday delivery.
