0.5 mL platelet-poor plasma collected in a 3.2% sodium citrate (light blue-top) tube, transferred to a plastic screw-cap vial
Instructions
Draw blood into light blue-top tube, filling tube to mark indicated on the tube. Do not overfill.

Clinical Significance
This is a screening test for abnormalities of coagulation factors that are involved in the extrinsic pathway. Test is also used to monitor effects of Warfarin therapy and to study patients with hereditary and acquired clotting disorders.
