Instructions
The adult patient is given 75g of Glucose, and the specimen is obtained 1 hour later.
Children - give 1.75g per 1kg of ideal body weight, not to exceed 75g.
A meal should be eaten 1 hour prior to drinking the glucose.
No food can be eaten between drinking the glucose and the blood draw.
