Other Acceptable Specimens
20 to 30 mLs clean-catch urine, first stream (not mid-stream)collected in GenProbe APTIMA 2 Combo urine container; or 6 mLs ThinPrep Vial

If urine collected, transfer 2 mLs of urine from sterile urine cup to GenProbe urine transport tube using disposable pipette provided in kit. Patient should not have urinated for at least 1 hour prior to collection.

Genital swab: reject if received with no swab or two swabs in transport container and/or swabs other than GenProbe swab;
Urine: reject if received frozen;
