HIV 1/2 Antibodies Quick Screen

Message

This test is performed at Upper Chesapeak Health and is only available for: 1. Team Member exposure testing requested by Occupational Health. 2. Public Safety Officer (PSO, i.e. ambulance, police or fire department personnel) exposure testing requested through the Emergency department. 3. Patients for prenatal testing on Family Birthplace (FBP), i.e. mothers delivering who do not have a prenatal care history. 4. Patients specified by the Medical Director of Healthcare Epidemiology and Infection Prevention (HEIP). Any other HIV antibody screening will be sent out to the reference laboratory. Positive results are preliminary and will be sent out for confirmatory testing.
