Aspirated cyst fluid fixed in Cytolyt fluid.




Minimum Volume


Any volume can be tested.  Higher volumes yield more accurate results.




Other Acceptable Specimens
Fresh cyst fluid in capped syringe (needle removed).


Instructions

Express aspirated cyst fluid into labeled Cytolyt tube.  




Transport Container
Cytolyt ubes are supplied by the Cytology Lab on Ziskind 5


Transport Temperature
Room temperature or refrigerated.


Methodology
Liquid based slide preparation

Setup Schedule
Daily, Monday through Friday.
