Instructions
Draw specimen at steady state reached in approximately at 2 - 3 days.
If toxicity is suspected draw anytime during continuous IV or 2 hours after oral dose.
Oral: liquid or immediate release
Trough: collect just prior to next dose
Sustained release: as above or any consistent time within the next dosing interval.
Continuous infusion: ≥ 24 hours after dosage adjustment made during infusion. Post load level, if necessary, ≥ 1 hour after bolus.
Centrifuge within 2 hours of collection
