Instructions
If drawn with other coagulation assays: for up to 3 tests draw 1, 2.7mL sodium citrate tubes. For 4 or more coagulation tests, draw 2, 2.7 mL sodium citrate tubes.

Limitations
Lupus anticoagulants and anticoagulants such as rivaroxaban, bivalirudin, and apixaban can interfere with this assay.
Reference Range
0-150 YEARS > 2.2.
If the APC is <2.4, there is a reflex to F-V PCR performed in the HLA/Molecular Pathology laboratory.
Clinical Significance
Test for congenital or acquired hypercoagulability; screen for Factor V Leiden.
