Methodology
Chemiluminescent immunoassay (CLIA) for the qualitative detection of IgG and IgM antibodies to VlsE (variable major protein-like sequence, expressed) protein antigen of Borrelia burgdorferi.  Performed on the Liaison XL.

Setup Schedule
This assay is performed at least twice per week.

Index of <0.9: Negative


Clinical Significance
This test is intended for use in the presumptive detection of IgG and IgM antibodies to B. burgdorferi.
