Preferred Specimen
Biopsy tissue specimen in viral transport medium or moist saline. 


Instructions
Place samples into viral transport medium collection tube obtained from microbiology or into sterile cup with just enough saline to keep specimen moist.


Transport Container
Viral transport medium or sterile cup moist with saline.


Transport Temperature
Room temperature if transported within 15 minutes of collection.
On ice if transport will be delayed >15 min.
