Setup Schedule
This assay is performed at least twice per week.


Limitations
Test indicates past exposure, not presence of active infection with circulating virus.  Specimens taken early during the acute phase of infection may not contain detectable levels of IgG antibodies

Clinical Significance
This test is used for testing sexually active adults or expectant mothers with presumptive diagosis of infection.
