Message
Performed in the Hematology Laboratory, x5475, 76.
Sample MUST be drawn to minimum fill line on tube.
This assay is used to monitor UFH (unfractionated heparin) and LMWH  (Low Molecular Weight Heparin)

Test Code

Transport Temperature
Room Temperature

Specimen Stability
Sample Stability: 1 hour for UFH/LMWH monitoring
Stable for 6 months frozen at -70 degrees C.

Reject Criteria (Eg, hemolysis? Lipemia? Thaw/Other?)
Gross hemolysis, QNS, clotted

Methodology

Chromogenic assay
