Clinical Significance
Vancomycin is an antibiotic, which is the drug of choice for the tremenat of methicillin and related beta lactam antibiotic resistant Staphlociccus aureus. Monitoring the level is necessary due to the potentially serious side effects including otoxicity, nephrotoxicity, phlebitis, and reversible neutropenia
