Clinical Significance
Increased IgM is associated with Waldenstrom's macroglobulinemia, infectious mononucleosis, viral infections, nephrotic syndrome, and estrogn therapy; decreased IgM is found in selective deficiency, Bruton's disease, and acquired immune deficiency.
