Instructions
Submit Yellow SPS tube 1. Clean site with alcohol pad. 2. Using concentric circles clean site with chloraprep sepp. 3. Allow to air dry. 4. Clean top of each yellow SPS tube with clean alcohol pad. 5. Collect Yellow SPS tube first.

Negative. Positive cultures will be identified.


Clinical Significance
Useful for the detection of mycobacterium and other acid-fast organisms includes AFB smear. Collect Yellow SPS tube. Final reports of negative cultures at 8 weeks.
