Clinical Significance

Salicylate are used in treatment or fever, analgesia, anti-inflammatory, and for inhibition of platelet aggregation.Salicylate overdose can cause metabolic acidosis, gastorintestinal and central nervous system disturbances, as well as encephalopathy, and renal failure.
