0-15 days: 266-295 mOsmol/kg
16 days-60 yrs: 275-295 mOsmol/kg
>61 years: 280-301 mOsmol/kg


Clinical Significance
Serum osmolality is increased in hypernatremia, hyperglycemia, uremia, ethanol, methanol, or ethylene glycol overdose, and in diabetes insipidus.
